GHANA-US VISA RESTRICTIONS WAIVED-OKUDZETO ABLAKWA

The United States of America has waived off restriction imposed on Ghana following a bilateral meeting between the two countries.

According discussion between Ghana’s Foreign Minister and the Office of the Secretary of State , Ghanaians can now gain five-year multiple entry visas and other services and privileges.

According to the Minister, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, Allison Hooker during bilateral meeting indicated that Ghanaians are eligible and no longer be in the bracket.

The restrictions which the US wants to enforce it soon by the orders of President Trump, will no longer affects Ghana following engagement at the UN General Assembly.The US imposed visa restrictions on Ghana and other countries in July this year in which those countries were slapped with a maximum three-month single entry visas and other limitations.
