Liverpool Star Diogo Jota Reportedly Dies in Car Crash in Spain

Portuguese international and Liverpool forward Diogo Jota has reportedly died in a tragic car accident in northwestern Spain, according to local media reports.

Spanish news agency EFE reports that the 28-year-old footballer was involved in a fatal crash early Thursday morning on the Rías Baixas Highway (A-52) near Palacios de Sanabria, a town in the province of Zamora.

The report adds that Jota’s brother, Andre, also died in the collision. The cause of the crash has not yet been officially disclosed, and Spanish authorities are reportedly investigating the incident.
