Four Remanded Over 315 Parcels of Suspected Indian Hemp in Tema

An Ashaiman Circuit Court has remanded four men into police custody after they were arrested in possession of 315 compressed parcels of substances suspected to be Indian hemp at the Tema Industrial Area.
The accused, Nura Sali, 44; Pius Chukwuma, 49; Mustapha Umar, 18; and Abdulai Amayau, 23, were put before the court by the Tema Community 1 District Police Command. They are to reappear on Tuesday, 30th September 2025.
The court further directed that the truck with registration number 7291-16, which was used to convey the suspected drugs, be impounded pending further notice.
Police say investigations are ongoing and have assured the public of their resolve to intensify the fight against drug trafficking within Tema and other parts of the country.
