Haven Hands Incorporated has donated a mechanized borehole and a modern community library to residents of Wudzedeke and surrounding communities in the Ziope Traditional Area, providing thousands with access to safe water and learning resources.

The twin projects, set for commissioning on Thursday, September 4, 2025, were implemented through the organization’s humanitarian wing, The Rescue Project, in memory of the late Holy Anointed Reverend/Mrs. Victoria Nyamadi Amedzekor.

For years, households in the area have struggled with unsafe water sources, exposing children and families to waterborne diseases. The new borehole, developed with the technical support of World Vision, will serve nine communities, while a separate facility has been installed at the local health center to ensure reliable water for medical services.

Alongside the water project, a community library stocked with books and digital learning tools has been established to support education and give young people a competitive edge in a technology-driven world.

The ceremony is expected to be attended by the Volta Regional Minister, Hon. Gunu, the District Chief Executive, traditional rulers, and Dr. Gregory Allgood, Director of Water at World Vision US, who will deliver the keynote address.

According to Haven Hands Chairman, Thee Royal Warrior Amewodela Torgbui Kitikata I, the projects reflect the organization’s mission to combine immediate needs with long-term opportunities. “This borehole is more than a project—it is a lifeline,” he said. “By also launching a library, we are giving children the tools to thrive tomorrow.”
