This payment brings the total disbursements under the DDEP in 2025 to a whopping GH¢19.4 billion. According to the Ministry, this demonstrates the government’s commitment to honoring its obligations and strengthening investor confidence.

The government has also established two dedicated sinking fund accounts to ensure timely redemption of loans. These accounts, mandated by the Public Financial Management Act, will provide liquidity buffers and support fiscal credibility.
