The Acting Minister for Defence has presented the findings of the committee investigating the August 6 military helicopter crash to the President at a meeting of the National Security Council.

The committee, chaired by National Security Coordinator COP Abdul Razak Osman, was constituted to establish the circumstances leading to the crash, assess operational and technical factors, and recommend safety measures for future operations.

Officials say the President received the report after a comprehensive briefing by the committee members. Details of the findings were not disclosed at the meeting, but government sources indicated that the report contains key assessments expected to shape reforms within the security services.

According to the Presidency, the full report will be made public on Tuesday.
