The acting stool father for the Kudzragbe Clan in the Ada Traditional Area, Numo David Dzadzagonor, is praying the Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Ahmed Ibrahim, to transfer the registrar of the Ada Traditional Council to restore peace and tranquility.

Numo Dzadzagonor contends that the registrar, Ebenezer Mettle Nunoo, the administrative officer of the council who wields power per their observations is not only influencing the chiefs, but also conducting himself in a manner that underminds the peace of the traditional area. “Per our observations and scrutiny, we strongly suspect that the registrar is the mastermind behind the myriad of chieftaincy feuds that have saddled the traditional area and therefore we call on the sector minister to transfer him for the sake of peace and security”.

The concerned stool father raised serious national security implications should the registrar continue to administer the council. “Ada is becoming volatile with hightened chieftaincy issues in most of the clans, a development which if left uncontrolled will explode in our faces, hence we call for the transfer of characters like the registrar who i believe are orchestrators to avert any eventuality” he opined.

In a contentious case involving a successor to the late Nene Agidi Ahaviatse VI, who past in 2025, Numo Dzadzagonor in the same vein pleaded with Nene Abram Kabu Akuaku lll, Paramount Chief of the Ada Traditional Area to take a second look at the individuals who are sitting on the case. He alleges that the three members of the judicial committee chaired by Nene Agudey Obitchere lll, Manklalo of the Ada Traditional Area are well vested with the tradition of Ada and know the truth yet are taking side in the case. This he noted has the tendency to escalate thereby breaching the security of Ada.

“All three members of the panel are custodians of Ada tradition and know the truth but have decided to sidestep it” he stressed.

In view of this, he prayed Djetse to reconstitute the panel before the delivery of judgment on the adjourned date of Febryary 5, 2026.

The Registrar of the Ada Traditional Council, Ebenezer Mettle Nunoo, reacting to the allegations said he is an administrator and not a member of the council or panel and so does not understand the essence of the allegation. “How can i manipulate a case when I’m not part of the panel, i don’t understand exactly what their claim of me manipulating the system is” he added.

Mr. Nunoo debunked a claim of evading filing of documents at the committee, saying he has been serving all manner of persons equally and fairly. He attributed the allegations against him as borne out of pain of losing case.

A number of clans and families in the Ada Traditional Area have over the years accused the Ada Traditional Council for mainly responsible for the surging chieftaincy issues that are bedeviling the area.

Notable among such cases are the Dugbatey-Dada case at Ada-Foah, Osibli-Sebbie-Otipeseku chieftaincy issue of Goi, the Dangmebiawe Wetsoyi succession saga and the latest being the Kudzragbe Wetsoyi succession following the demise of the late Nene Agidi Ahaviatse VI sometime last year.
