The Nkawie Divisional Police Command in the Ashanti region of Ghana is on a manhunt for a young man identified only as Jeffrey, who allegedly caused the death of another young man at Mpasatia in the Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region.

The deceased, Emmanuel Somuah, believed to be in his 30s, was reportedly found dead in his girlfriend’s room while on a visit over the weekend.

Reports indicate that Somuah, a known galamseyer, rented the room for his girlfriend, Cynthia, where he often visited her on weekends. However, neighbors allege that Cynthia had been hosting other male friends in the apartment, much to their surprise.

“On Saturday, around 5 p.m., Emmanuel Somuah visited unannounced and met Cynthia and Jeffrey in the room. We don’t know what happened between them, but we saw Jeffrey run from the scene. Moments later, we found Somuah lying on the floor,” an eyewitness narrated.

Some tenants rushed Somuah to the Toase Hospital, but doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.

The incident was reported to the police, who arrested Cynthia. Jeffrey, however, has since gone into hiding.

The body of the deceased has been deposited at the Afari Community Mortuary, while the Nkawie Divisional Police Command has launched swift investigations into the matter.
