TDC Ghana Ltd has rolled out a fresh wave of internal reforms aimed at modernising its operations, improving staff welfare and bringing essential services closer to the public. The initiative was highlighted on Friday when the company commissioned four key interventions — a Business Centre, a revamped corporate website, a project catalogue and a revitalised staff canteen — at its headquarters in Tema.

The Managing Director, Mr Courage Nunekpeku, who led the ceremony, said the projects form part of a broader transformation agenda informed by practical needs observed across the company’s operational environment.

According to him, both clients and staff often required basic services such as photocopying, printing, passport photographs or commissioning of oaths, yet had to travel to Community 1 to access them.

“People come here and they want to do a photocopy or print a document, or take a passport picture. We realised it was a need we had to respond to,” he said.

To address the challenge, TDC refurbished unused containers from its Community 26 project site, aligned and fitted them, and transformed one into a fully functional Business Centre to provide walk-in services for clients and staff.

On staff welfare, Mr Nunekpeku announced that the revitalised canteen will operate with a 50 percent subsidy for workers, with the company absorbing the remaining cost as part of efforts to ease their financial burden and improve productivity.

He further disclosed that procurement processes would soon begin for what he described as Tema’s biggest event centre, a multi-purpose development expected to feature office spaces, event halls, sports courts, a children’s park and a gymnasium. The planned facility, he noted, aligns with TDC’s long-term vision of expanding its development footprint and offering modern urban amenities.

The Managing Director expressed strong optimism about the corporation’s prospects, emphasising that the new interventions reflect a renewed commitment to innovation, efficiency and staff well-being.

Board Chairman Mr Isaac Ashai Odamtten, who also addressed the gathering, urged staff to continue supporting the Managing Director and management team to deliver on the mandate entrusted to them.

The ceremony was attended by Board Members, retired staff, management and staff of the corporation.
