TDC Ghana Limited has rolled out a new policy requiring all National Service Personnel posted to the company to undergo a compulsory two-week basic military and disciplinary training before commencing official duties.
According to the Managing Director, Mr. Courage K. M. Nunekpeku, the initiative is aimed at instilling discipline, teamwork, and professionalism among personnel to enhance productivity and foster a culture of accountability within the organisation.

He announced the new policy during a colourful passing-out parade for TDC’s newly trained Security Task Force at the First Infantry Battalion (1BN) at Michel Camp. The event, commanded by Trainee Alex Alemah, saw thirty-eight personnel graduate after completing an intensive two-week training programme conducted in collaboration with the Ghana Armed Forces.
Mr. Nunekpeku commended the First Infantry Battalion for their continued support and partnership in shaping the TDC Security Task Force into a disciplined and professional unit. He described the moment as a proud milestone in the company’s history, underscoring that discipline, emotional intelligence, and first aid competence are essential for effective security operations.
He also announced that future recruitment into the TDC Task Force will be done collectively to ensure uniform training and consistent performance standards among recruits. The Managing Director urged the newly trained personnel to serve as worthy ambassadors of TDC, perform their duties with integrity, and help maintain safety and order within the Tema Acquisition Area, especially in tackling land encroachment.

Mr. Nunekpeku further lauded the Commanding Officer of the First Infantry Battalion, Lt. Col. Frank Adams, for his leadership and steadfast collaboration, reaffirming TDC’s commitment to deepening its partnership with the Ghana Armed Forces.
The passing-out ceremony marks another milestone in TDC Ghana Ltd’s commitment to promoting institutional discipline and security excellence.
