A group describing itself as “concerned party faithfuls and aspirants of the New Patriotic Party in the Tema East Constituency” has called on NPP national executives to immediately place an injunction on all upcoming electoral area coordinating elections, citing widespread irregularities in the polling station album and alleged intimidation by constituency leaders.
The group, in a press conference held on 11th June 2026, alleged that over 600 names out of 1,500 have been deleted from the album ahead of elections scheduled for Sunday, June 14, 2026. They are demanding transparency and a neutral oversight team before any further polls are held.
According to the aggrieved party members, when nominations opened for recent polling station elections, constituency executives “with the involvement of Hon. Daniel Nii Kwatei Titus Glover” directed coordinators to collect photographs and voter ID cards from members. Members were allegedly assured they would be included in a “pre-prepared list for his team.”
The group says this created the impression that forms had already been secured for some members, discouraging others from purchasing nomination forms and participating freely.
“During the polling station election held three weeks ago, reports of intimidation and coercion were widespread. Members were allegedly compelled into a headcount voting system under the threat that their names would be removed from the album if they failed to comply,” the group stated.
Even in uncontested areas where acclamation was held, members remain uncertain about their status and whether their names appear in the final album. Repeated requests for access to the album have been denied, with responses including: “Did you buy forms for your people?”
Ahead of the electoral area coordinating elections, aspirants requested pictorial hard copies of the polling station album for effective campaigning. Instead, Regional Representative Jeff Kassim provided a document purported to represent the album for three electoral areas: Dade Agbo, Akwesi Plange, and Padmore.
Upon verification, the group identified several irregularities. Individuals such as Faustina Bawa, Stephen Yeboah, and Elizabeth Ofori, who reportedly no longer reside in the constituency and are said to be abroad, still appear on the album.
Names of individuals who contested and lost, including Jennifer Adu, Evelyn Nyamekye, and Tornyeviadzi Michael Sola, appear on the album, while declared winners such as Enoch Amoatey have been excluded from the Dade Agbo electoral area list.
Winning candidates like Tettey Leno, elected as Communication Officer, have reportedly been reassigned to Organizing positions without justification.
The group also questioned the continued chairmanship of Hon. Titus Glover’s 82-year-old mother in the Ashiboi electoral area, despite an agreed age ceiling of 70 years.
The group further called for a re-assessment of Regional Representative Jeff Kassim’s role, citing his reported involvement in organizing social media operatives for Hon. Titus Glover’s national organizer campaign. They say this raises concerns about his ability to fairly oversee the Tema East process.
It is also “concerning,” the group added, that Hon. Titus Glover, while contesting for National Organizer, simultaneously occupies a chairmanship role in Ashiboi electoral area. The group argues this disenfranchises members who could have legitimately occupied the position and raises questions about impartiality.
“As a former Member of Parliament and a Minister, he is expected to act in a neutral capacity. However, his involvement has deepened division and heightened tensions within the constituency,” the group said.
The concerned aspirants and party faithfuls are demanding an immediate injunction on all forthcoming elections in Tema East until transparency is restored, or they will seek legal redress. They are also calling for the appointment of a neutral regional representative to oversee the process, provision of pictorial hard copies of the polling station album to all aspirants for their respective electoral areas, and a review and sanitization of the current Tema East album to remove questionable entries.
They further want Hon. Daniel Nii Kwatei Titus Glover to be “called to order” over allegations of bias, intimidation, and divisive conduct, and for the expedited inclusion of polling station executives’ names in the national album, as delays are being used as “a tool of intimidation.”
“We remain committed to fairness, transparency and internal democracy. However, if these concerns are not adequately addressed, we may be compelled to seek legal redress to protect the integrity of our party and its electoral process in Tema East,” the group concluded.

Hon. Titus Glover has however dismissed the allegations as false. He said the group failed to purchase forms to contest, and that both regional and national executives found no basis for the claims, responding to them through a letter. He called on all party members in the constituency to remain united and focus on the NPP’s task of unseating the current government in the 2028 general election.
Tema East has a history of contested internal elections and factional disputes. The constituency has seen high-profile clashes between rival camps during previous polling station and constituency executive elections, often centered on control of the album and allegations of delegate buying. The current dispute appears to mirror those past tensions, with control of the electoral area coordinating elections seen as key ahead of the NPP’s national executive elections.
