Ghana Link Network Services Ltd., operators of the Integrated Customs Management System (ICUMS), has announced temporary service interruptions as the company undertakes a major upgrade of the national trade facilitation platform.

In an official notice issued to the trading community, government agencies, freight forwarders, importers, exporters, and other stakeholders, the company confirmed that the ongoing system enhancement has reached a stage where users “may inevitably experience intermittent downtime or reduced system responsiveness in the course of the day.”

The development has resulted in delays and workflow disruptions across the port and trade ecosystem. Ghana Link acknowledged the impact of the interruptions, expressing “deep regret” over the inconvenience caused to businesses and the wider trading public.

The ICUMS upgrade, according to the notice, is part of efforts to improve overall system performance, enhance security features, and strengthen the platform’s ability to handle Ghana’s growing trade volume. Officials assured stakeholders of the company’s commitment to transparency and indicated that further updates will be communicated as the upgrade progresses.

Ghana Link encouraged affected users seeking urgent assistance to contact its help desk on 059 692 1182 or via email at callcentre@ghanalink.com.gh.

The ICUMS platform remains a critical component of Ghana’s port operations, supporting customs clearance, trade documentation, and revenue mobilization processes nationwide. The upgrade is expected to enhance system reliability once fully completed.
